Cultural Humility: Ethical Practices with Diverse Identities

Participants will be introduced to the multicultural orientation framework (MCO) and learn to implement the three pillars – cultural humility, cultural opportunities, and cultural comfort – in routine clinical work.

Participants will actively engage in MCO-specific deliberate practices to begin building clinical skills to use in their work as mental health professionals.

  • Participants will be able to define and explain the three pillars of MCO—cultural humility, cultural opportunities, and cultural comfort—and their relevance in clinical practice.

He currently instructs 3 master level courses in counseling psychology at Elizabethtown College. He has experience as a primary therapist and clinical supervisor.
