Yoga & Movement Instructor Guide to Growing Together Through Shared Studio Space

A smarter, calmer way to grow your teaching practice—together.

Starting a solo yoga or movement practice is deeply meaningful. Managing the cost and  logistics of studio space does not need to be overwhelming. The Yoga & Movement  Instructor Collective at Inspire Wellness Collective (IWC) offers a collaborative path  forward, one that supports professionalism, predictability, and community.

Who This Guide Is For

This collective model is ideal for: -

• Yoga and movement instructors expanding private or semi-private offerings

• Teachers transitioning out of studios or short-term subleases

• Instructors who value calm aesthetics, professionalism, and shared responsibility

• Small groups seeking predictable costs without sacrificing quality

By forming a Collective, you and your peers leverage shared purchasing power to access  beautiful, well-equipped spaces—without carrying the cost alone.

The Strategy:

How It Works

Instead of each instructor purchasing individual access, a small group (typically 3–5  instructors) acts as one Collective to secure shared access through Inspire Wellness  Collective.

The Benefits

Lower Hourly Rates : Purchasing hours as a group significantly reduces the cost per class.

Professional Teaching Environment : Welcome clients into a calm, thoughtfully designed space that reflects the quality  of your work.

Shared Responsibility : Scheduling, communication, and logistics are distributed—reducing burnout and  isolation.

How to Set Up Your Collective

A clear structure from the start keeps your Collective smooth and sustainable.

Step A: Form Your Core Group

Identify 2–4 instructors with aligned values and complementary schedules.

Tip: Pair instructors with different teaching times (morning, evening, weekends) to  maximize access and minimize conflicts.

Step B: Choose Your Membership

Select the option that best fits your teaching rhythm.

Fixed Weekly Block - Consistent, recurring weekly time - Ideal for instructors with  standing classes or sessions

Flexible Hourly Access - Prepaid bundles (for example, 50 or 100 hours) - Ideal for  rotating schedules, workshops, or pop-up offerings

Step C: Designate a Lead Admin

For simplicity, one instructor serves as the primary account holder.

1. The Lead Admin creates the Optix account and manages billing

2. Other instructors reimburse their portion monthly (Venmo, Zelle, or similar) . This keeps the Collective streamlined while maintaining transparency.

Using the Optix App

The Optix app makes shared space simple and clear.

Real-time booking : View room availability instantly to avoid double-booking

Fixed weekly blocks  : Secure your weekly time for the entire year so your classes always have a  dependable home.

Not sure which option fits best: Book a complimentary Strategy Session can help clarify your needs before committing.

Suggested Collective Agreements

Healthy partnerships support sustainable businesses. We recommend a brief written agreement covering:

1. Payment timing and reimbursement expectations

2. Cancellation and use of unused hours

3. Shared standards for cleanliness and resetting the space

We are happy to coach your group through this process.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Do we need to form an LLC together?

No. Most Collectives operate informally with one Lead Admin managing the account.

2. What if one instructor leaves the group?

Your agreement should outline notice requirements and how remaining hours are handled.

3. Can we add instructors later?

Yes. Collectives are flexible and can evolve as your teaching schedule grows.

4. Which rooms can we use?

Access depends on your selected package. We will help you choose spaces best suited for  yoga, movement, and mindfulness.
